RCRA Training

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) establishes the methodology of managing wastes throughout the lifecycle (Cradle to Grave, and beyond).

  • Who Needs Training: All personnel who handle, manage, or oversee hazardous waste must undergo RCRA training. This includes employees at hazardous waste facilities, those involved in waste accumulation, transportation, treatment, storage, or disposal, and emergency response personnel dealing with hazardous waste incidents.

  • Timing: Employees must complete their initial RCRA training within six months of their employment or assignment to a hazardous waste management position. Until they complete this training, they must work under the direct supervision of a trained employee.

Intended Audience:
  • This class audience is any individual who works in a facility that treats, stores, generates, or otherwise handles hazardous wastes. Including, but not limited to laborers, shippers, transporters, and generators
